Most surgical staff make part of their duty to calm and reassure the scared patient which is 99.9% of us.  On 11/26/2012, there was four of us scheduled for WLS---three of us in our 50's and one in his 20's.  During the three-day hospital stay, us oldie moldies with lots of past surgery experiences were relatively quiet and took things in stride.  It was a good thing cause the young guy kept the nurses running!

Eno you will be just fine. The nurses in the surgery area will take great care of you and see that you get calmed down. I'll be praying for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for you too.

GOOD LUCK.  Your probably in by now!  If you had to be there at 5:30 my guess is you were the first surgery of the day.  I prefer that when ever I have to go in for something.  Then you dont have as much chance of sitting around while someone elses went a little long!

We're all nervous going into any surgery I imagine. Wishing you the best. Post when you can so we can follow your recovery.
