Insurance Approval!
I got my insurance approval for the RNY! I have AVMED (for those who may need this info later) and after 4 months of diet documentation, a Psych eval, an appointment with a nutritionist I have been approved! The paperwork was submitted last Monday and on Friday I got the call.
This is such an emotional time. I thought I would have been super excited or jumped up and down when I got the news but it was sort of an out of body experience. I don't know if it's because I knew that "this was it" or "go time" and the nerves kicked in. I don't know. I am excited but in a very calm retrospective way. All weekend I had thoughts of how did I let myself get to this weight...I have to tell you I feel as though my whole life has been almost an anesthetized existence. I don't feel as though I have been taking life by the horns and living. I married very young and had children right away so I feel as though I began living for them and not really living life. I am ready for what is to come and excited about getting to know who I am.

Congratulations.I will say I cried when I got approval.I did make myself feel like you did.Like how did I get to this point? But my husband said to me well you are doing something about it.
It is your time.You will feel so much better.I can say I do wish I did it sooner.But who knows what life throws at us. I have so much more energy.
