2 months out

2 months out. 5 long stalls.
26 pounds post surgery lost.
Always hungry. Not head hunger.
Shouldn't I have lost more than this?
Starting weight 260
Surgery day weight 252
Current weight 228
Following directions.
I'm just SICK of stalling, being HUNGRY, and barely losing ANYTHING.
Are you tracking everything you eat? Are you measuring what you eat? How about exercise?
Are getting all your protein and water in?
Maybe talking to a therapist might help you out. And a nutrionist.
Please post your foods for a day so we can help. If you are feeling hungry you need to stiuck to protein, especially dense things like meats, because they will leave you feeling full longer. If you are eating lots of carbs you are more likely to want more. Also drinking loads of water will help with feelings of hunger sometimes. You are losing over 3 pounds a week. My surgeon says normal weight loss for most is 3 to 5 pounds a week so you are there. Give us some info so we can help more please!
You're definitely in the "lightweight" category. It's hard to read all the huge weight losses and not compare yourself. I started out at 256. I was a slow loser as well (I can't remember specifically where I was a 2 months). I would get so frustrated! I wasn't hungry all the time, though. Post what you are eating so we can take a look. Also, make sure you are getting at least 60 grams of DENSE protein (chicken, fish, beef, pork, eggs) and not just shakes. Try to make sure you are getting at least 80 ounces of water everyday. That is challenging, but that has made the biggest difference for me.
What do you consider a long stall? In 2 months, you can't really have 5 long anything.
You say it's not head hunger. But I'd bet money that it is.
You really need to weigh and track everything you eat. Every bite.

Three, no four things need to happen here.
1) Like Sam stated..you're considered a lightweight. You will lose more slowly. You can't compare yourself to other people, especially those who started out much heavier than you. Your journey is unique, no person will lose exactly the same as another person will.
2) 13 lbs a per month isn't bad at all, so please don't think that it is.
3) Please list what you're eating, drinking, and what you're doing to stay active. That can be a clue as to any stalls you may have had.
4) The people posting here are some smart cookies...take their advice!!
Good luck!

Agree with everything everyone else said, and I will add that sometimes we tend to interpret thirst as hunger. How much water are you getting a day? Are you drinking calories?
We can give you targeted advice if you post an exact log of your food and drink. Otherwise, we are kind of just giving generalized answers.

This was very true for me. Thirst was not the same post-op as it was preop. What I thought was hunger, really was thirst.
Also, weight loss may not be linear for you. My weight loss, and I was definitely heavier than you, was more like steps. I would lose a few pounds and then plateau (not stall) for 4 or 5 days and then lose again. I think I averaged 15lbs a month at first, so 13 is nothing to sneeze at. When was the last time you lost at this rate? I think your expectations may be a bit off.
