Good morning! I was following the Toronto news yesterday, and I just don't understand the mindset of someone that would do something like that, whether it's terrorism or mental health, or both. I suppose that's the point though. Someone with a sound mind wouldn't DO that sort of thing, so it would likely be incredibly difficult, if possible, to actually understand it. I think of the school shooters in recent news. What makes a person wake up one day and say "Well, I guess I'll just go kill a bunch of people" and follow through with it?

My heart goes out to the people of Toronto in this time, and I think it's important to offer support and prayer (if that's your thing) in such times. The word inhumanity still contains the word "humanity" and I cling to the hope and prayer that we never lose humanity entirely. There has to be a balance, a time, where we say enough and work together toward a solution. It won't be easy, won't be a quick fix, and won't catch ALL of the problems, but something needs to be addressed.

Menu: Pretty much the norm today, shakes, bars, and some apple slices for a bit of fibre. I did eat the toppings from a bruschetta leftover (tomatoes and feta with spices....it was pretty weird for breakfast, but it was tasty I guess.)

QOTD; I have a nice watch I was given as a father's day gift. For some reason it rips through batteries like crazy so I stopped wearing it. I find it clunky now that my wrist is smaller. My arms drive me nuts now. They haven't lost strength, but they've lost size and look all weird and almost spindle-like. I focus on weights for them now to try and add a bit of muscle back and shape them to "normal" (whatever that is****il then the watch slides around on my wrist so it stays on my dresser most of the time.

I had to have the bands on my watches reduced after WLS as they drove me crazy sliding around.

G'morning all.

My heart broke when I heard the news from Toronto, in a "here we go again" feeling...I hate it that this has become almost an every day occurrence.

QOTD: I used to wear watches before I gained my weight and then stopped because they were too tight around my wrist. Now that I have lost weight I can wear them again so having fun in trying them out. But I am so used to not having a watch that even when I wear one I look at my iPhone for time.

Accountability : Ah! So much better yesterday after the weekend fiasco. Cals:618 Protein:80 carb:23. I even feel a spring in my step.

B: protein shake

L: pulled pork or chicken fajita

S: cheese

D: whatever I didn't have for lunch

Have a great day!

Sad day indeed Daisey. I went for a walk around 130 on my lunch to a place we go to play ping pong. I kept hearing all these sirens. I was wondering what was going on. I'm at Bayview & Sheppard so the next intersection over. What a mess.

QOTD. My kids bought me a beautiful watch about 7-8 yrs ago, I wear it everyday.

Good Morning,

Glad you are ok Daisy! I spent much of the evening trying to touch base with friends who are currently in TO, either they live there or were there for the hockey game. SHEER PANIC. Friend of mine from home lives 2 blocks away. it was his usual lunch time. I was a state. THANK GOD he's ok, but he saw what happened, and that's going to take some time to heal. Not going to lie. I was so selfish and thought thank god he's ok, that's all that matters. He's ok. Thank god. So many other people are not able to say that today.

I can't believe it happened. Well I can and I can't. Horrific.

Accountability: I can actually say 100%! YAY ME!! Now to keep that ball rolling.

QOTD: I do not. I wear my fitbit with the fancy new rose gold strap I bought on Amazon for $6.00. LOL. I have lots of watches as I love them. And I think before when I was MO, they were the one thing you could buy that fit. That and purses, if that makes sense. I feel bad for them now as they don't get worn much, but I plan to go back to them at some point.

Menu:

Breakfast: Tea with restoralax no premier protein. I ran out of vanilla.

Snack: Greek yogurt with flax added and a new protein powder! SMARTIES!! I was so excited to try this, and it did not disappoint. I feel like I'm eating ice cream or some other decadent treat when I add these protein powders to my yogurt.

Lunch: 4oz of chicken with some bbq sauce to dip. (Wiggle sauce)

Snack: 2 turkey breast roll ups. IF NEEDED.

Supper: TBD. I have to run a few errands after work, then head to the gym so supper is unknown. I have a protein bar with me just in case, and I also have steak strips cooked in the fridge ready to go, so I have options.

Exercise: Cardio only tonight. I need to set up a new schedule and focus.

Have a great day everyone!!
