When he pointed to it, I almost fainted with fear! Of course, he can do dips! The worst was trying to remember to breathe! He is encouraging, not a screamer, but he really makes me work hard for the $$!

Sorry about the emergency extraction. DH went through that and a dental implant a few years ago. The whole process took a long time until it was all done with the necessary healing.

We have lots of company for the next few days. Family today and friends until the middle of the week. Today is the best weather day of the weekend though (supposed to rain tomorrow).

QOTD: I still have most all my teeth, but 4 have crowns (no root canals luckily). I have a million fillings from my teen years, most of which used to be silver but have been replaced with composite fillings over the years as they aged. When I was young, we didn't ingest fluoride and I ate a lot of candy as a teen. Funny, but candy is not so much a problem now (but let's not talk about donuts, pies and cakes)...

2 Years, 3.5 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19.5 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: out to dinner (second night in a row, so I need to make smart high protein choices)

S: ?

My dental insurance drives me batty because they will only cover composite fillings on the front 8 teeth. The other teeth they require amalgam to be used to be covered- but most dentist won't even use that anymore. I would love to avoid paying out of pocket.

Good morning! Feeling a lot better today. My mom is coming into town today and I have no idea what she wants to do, so I don't know how to plan my menu.

qotd: I was born with no enamel on my bottom front teeth, so they will always appear yellow even though they're healthy. My baby teeth were that way and my dentist thought maybe my adult teeth would come in normal, but nope. Sensitive, though. I've had fillings as a kid, and I have buck teeth that I'm a bit self conscious about, but otherwise no real issues. I went about 4 years without seeing a dentist after I moved here and just last month went in. I had a cavity that got filled a few days later.

breakfast: chicken sausage and omelette with onions, peppers, spinach, and cheese. However, with just one egg, it only ever ends up being a scramble, not an omelette :P

lunch: out with mom, I think? Protein forward option though

dinner: I'm expecting to be home by myself, in which case I might just do a salad with some chicken or tuna.

Good morning everyone! Once again our trip to see Rob's folks has been postponed! His dad wasn't feeling well.... So, since I planned a great hike/out day for tomorrow, today will be chill. Rob had a hearing north of the Bay area yesterday - 10 hour round trip so he isn't up for much today anyway. So we'll do the park with the dogs, shopping, cleaning, house stuff and chill. I'd love to go see a movie today but Rob is so picky he'd rather not go at all than be disappointed. I'll see just about anything and I may go see something on my own! I miss my kiddo - he was always up for a movie. My best friend moved away 2 years ago and my sister is out of town, so that is that!

QOTD - I have pretty good teeth health wise, but I have super crowded/tight/crooked teeth due to my upper cross bite and I have a slight under bite. I've wanted braces so badly all my life but was told I would need upper and lower jaw surgery to correct my bite issues before they would consider straightening them. It would cost 15-20K and is not covered by insurance. I was recently referred for invisalign - they can do amazing things these days - and they are able to correct my bite and straighten my teeth without surgery. It will take about 18 months to do it all, but after about month 8, cosmetically speaking my teeth will be straight - a dream come true for me, really!

Accountability - awesome!

20 mo post op - 161!

b- coffee x3, eggs w/mushrooms

l-chicken w/spring mix, tomato and skinny girl balsamic

d- TJ's turkey meatloaf and green beans

v/l - on track

e-walk

Have an awesome day!!
