What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Mornin'!

well, I'm going to TRY going on a bike ride later this morning with this Friday biking group I joined a month or two ago, but I've yet to actually bike with them (other things keep coming up...). It'll only be in the 40s by then, but I bought some biking gloves yesterday, and I'll wear layers. We'll see how this goes. If I chicken out, a friend told me about a Zoom yoga class she's doing at 10:00, so I may opt for that instead. But I think I can handle 40s if I'm prepared. Other than that, I need to do some reading for my classes, and I'd also like to go out to an apple orchard sometime today (if they have anything left!). I've been wanting to go for awhile but have yet to make it to one.

accountability hasn't been good the last few days, and I haven't been biking as much this week, so I really need to rein it in or my weight is going to start going up. This is so freakin' hard..

QOTD: oh I don't know... I like some of George Carlin's stuff - and some of the SNL skits from the 1970s. I guess I'm not into comedy much these days (or these years!)

TSS: 5y4m

B: 1/2 jumbo protein pumpkin muffin, Carbmaster cinnamon yogurt, coffee with half & half

MS: I probably won't take my usual protein shake with me on the bike ride (maybe jus****er), so I'll take a protein bar with me just in case

L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with strawberry compote

AS: probably my usual morning protein shake. And maybe a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: some kind of vegetable curry. Plus turkey breast slices if I'm short on protein by then

I contemplated this photo idea off and on for a couple of days but wasn't coming up with much, so I'll copy Liz and post some pics from various points of my life (wish I had some of me as a younger kid on this laptop, but I evidently don't....)

Age 25 bet you had to beat off the men to keep them away. Wow just beautiful. Your transformation is inspiring.

thanks! I was actually kind of intimidated by men back then - I didn't like unwanted attention. I was a little scared of getting WLS because of that - being SMO had kept them away, but then it dawned on me that I was in my mid-50s (at the time I got WLS) - so unwanted male attention probably wasn't going to be much of an issue anymore!

biking in 40 degrees -- that's serious! Good for you for finding something that you really like and have sustained through all these months!

I did it! I was a bit cold at first but warmed up pretty quickly. The crisp air actually felt pretty good! Someone in the group took a picture when we got to our destination. I was going to grab it and post it here, but she hasn't posted it yet. Hopefully she will soon!
