Coffee helped my mood immeasurably. I hope it makes your day better, too!

Good morning and happy Wednesday. This morning has already been eventful. I let my dog out this morning early to go potty and I smelled skunk. Or as I like to call them, spicy cats. Of course my dog doesn't want to listen and come back inside.I could hear them rustling around in the hedge. I am thankful that she didn't want to go makes friends with them.

QOTD- My goal is to read more this fall and winter. I don't really have an author that I love. I used to read a lot of parenting and self help books.

I joined the gym last week, which is next door to my work. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and getting stronger. I have work this morning, gym and getting my micro bladed eye brows touched up.

My husband is out of town this week for work. He will be home Friday and my Coast Guard son is coming home for a visit too. My heart is happy!

Food is a bit up in the air today, as it's just me.

protein shake with cold brew

crustless quiche

insides of chicken tacos

not really sure if what else.

I need to push the water today. It was hot yesterday and I was busy. I know I didn't get enough water in. Have a great day everyone and be well.

I admire how you are able to be present in the moment with your family when they are around. I feel like, I am always thinking about the next thing and not enjoying the limited time we have together.

Where is your son stationed? I worked with a nurse whose son was also in the Coast Guard. He was stationed in the Seattle are, recently transferred to Alabama (I think) to chase down drug runners in boats.

Have a wonderful visit with your son.

Congrats on joining the gym!! I used to only read diet, self help and parenting books while my son was growing up. I just recently got back into reading for pleasure - now I feel like I missed out on so much. Really enjoying it now, I hope you do too!

QOTD- Anne McCaffrey, most of Stephen King, I'm working my way through Terry Pratchett, I love him he makes me laugh and I'm sorry he is gone. John D. MacDonald, and probably many more.

There was a lovely sunrise the clouds were pink and purple and looked amazing. It's only supposed to be 80 today but back up to 91 by Saturday. All I can say is whole house A/C before next summer.

I had a lovely lunch with my neighbors, they are an interesting group. They are all retired and have grown kids and grand kids. It was just nice to be with people and laugh and chat. I've missed in person interaction.

Have a great day everyone!

Don't respond to that one, we all know where it leads.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Sorry to hear about your nightmares. I still have reoccurring dreams about going to school and not being able to find my class room even after being out since 1985. Crazy how that darn brain works.

I got bible study tonight. I am finally on the last book of this study when I am done with this I will need a break. It really takes a lot of time and I am pretty spent with everything going on here at work. Trying to reign in my snacking and getting back into an exercise routine. I do not understand why I have no desire to move. I did so well up till covid. I do have that elliptical I have never used so I am going to start there when I finally get motivated.
