I believe regain is the body's way of recovering from believing it has been starved. It was getting food in but still losing weight due to malabsorption. When malabsorption ends after two or three years it works hard to try to get its weight back.

Regain can be controlled and lost with diet and exercise, just like before surgery.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends

Hi Karen - nice to hear from you and welcome back! I do not post every day, but read often. The menu thread is a great resource and nice to be with folks that can relate.

Pre- Surgery/ Type 2 Diabetes, High BP and Cholesterol, treated with 6 medications, including Insulin. Post Op- low dose BP med 2022, Mounjaro 10/2023
