Good morning Cassie. Was it cold camping out yesterday? I know it was snowing a little in Chicago yesterday and some of the football games had snow on the field. A fun day for me today. At 12:00 I am going to the Bears Patriots game and then at 6:00 I am going to the Blackhawks game. In between I will hide out in my office for a bit. I will be rooting for the Patriots although in a box full of Bears fans.

QOTD: Remember in A Christmas Carol when Jacob Marley had to wander the earth with the evidence of his sins chained to his body? That's my nightstand. CPAP, Blood pressure monitor, Blood Sugar test, dental guards, reading glasses. And every time i roll over at night the hose from the CPAP knocks everything on the floor. Obesity has not worked out for me.

Breakfast: Chicken

Snack: Dannon Light and Fit

Lunch: Open but protein forward

Snack: Volpi

Dinner: Hamburger

Have a great Sunday all.

Thank you, Cara. It is for a great cause. CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates provides volunteer advocates to observe the development and care of children who find themselves in the Juvenile Court system through no fault of their own. Typically these children are victims of abuse or neglect. The advocates are trained, periodically meet with the children and the children's caregivers, and report findings to the Court.

Organizationally, there is one CASA for each Juvenile Court district. I am on the Board of the CASA for our western Chicago suburban county. We just raise money though, it is the volunteer advocates that do the important work.

I vowed that this week I would remember to post something for photo Friday... and I forgot again. Next week will be the one. Today I have a few errands and then tonight we have a black tie gala. My daughter and both of my sons are joining my wife and I at the gala which I am looking forward to. Hopefully we will get nice family picture. The boys are actually being pretty good about dressing up. My daughter, of course, leapt at the chance to get a new dress.

QOTD: I can't say that this is one that I have given a lot of thought to. For boys I like strong, short, simple names.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Dannon light and fit

Lunch:Mahi Mahi burger

Snack: volpi

Dinner: Steak of fish at gala

Have a great day all.

They actually are playing at home Sunday night but I already made plans to go with my son. I have way more tickets this year than I will use though. Probably the best thing to do is to just check the schedule and let me know a home date when you think that you will be in Chicago. I can transfer the tickets to you by email and you can print them out.

Good morning. I picked my daughter up at the airport last night so didn't get home until almost midnight. It was worth it though. She knew about the surgery but I am about 60 pounds lighter than when she saw me in May so I think that she was surprised. Looking forward to the weekend, we have a gala tomorrow night and I am going to see the Patriots play at the Bears on Sunday.

QOTD: Weighing food and not drinking within 30 minutes are the biggest changes to get used to. The not drinking is easier than I thought because I didn't account for the small food quantity.

Breakfast: turkey sausage and egg

Snack: Light and Fit yogurt

Lunch: Tuna creations

Snack: Volpi

Dinner: chicken

Have a great day all.

Good morning. My daughter is coming home from college tonight for her fall break. I will pick her up from the airport at about 9:00 tonight. Just a short trip, she is going back on Sunday afternoon. She stayed at school this summer to work at an internship so I haven't seen her in person since May.

QOTD: Looking forward to spending time with family over the holidays

Breakfast: Egg, turkey sausage

Snack: Dannon light and fit

Lunch: Tuna creations

Forgot QOTD. I am still working my way through 1001 Nights. I am about to finish volume 13 and then I will have four volumes left. I actually got through to night 1001 in volume 9 but little did I know that there was a volume long essay as well as seven volumes of supplemental nights.

Also I have a 425 page income tax regulation package to read in the next few weeks, so there is that.

Hi - Its another late post for me. The Eagles were fantastic Monday night! No warm-up group and they played for two and a half hours without intermission. Vince Gill and Glen Frey's son Deacon filled in for Glen. They played their own songs as well as both Joe Walsh and Don Henley's solo work. Finally, they encored with Hotel California and then again with Rocky Mountain High and then finally ended with Desparado.

By the time we got home it was midnight and I had to get up at 4:00 to catch a flight to LA. Well, apparently Joe Walsh sonically blasted a half inch from my waistline because by the time I got to the airport my belt no longer worked. Brooks Brothers in the O'Hare concourse was willing to sell me one for the low, low price of $108. Ugh.

Tuesday was a 20 hour day so I ended up high on calories. Stayed protein forward and I was happy that my blood sugar was at its normal level this morning. Today has been a normal day.

Breakfast: Boiled egg, greek yogurt

Snack: Greek yogurt

Lunch: Omelette

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: chili

Enjoy the rest of the day, all.

Good morning everybody. We are going to see the Eagles at the United Center tonight. I am excited, I have never seen them play. Less exciting, I have an early morning flight tomorrow. So Monday night will be a very short one. Oh, well I can sleep on the plane.

QOTD: Test my blood pressure and blood sugar

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Dannon light and fit

Lunch: boiled egg

Snack: Volpi

Dinner: will have to pick something up at the store next to my office.

Good morning. I went on VRBO and reserved a house in Florida for Spring Break week. Its only October and already I am thinking about the warm weather again. My youngest is a freshman in high school so we will be tethered to the school calendar (and the overpriced Spring Break airfare) for a few more years. Looking forward to the time when we can travel to escape the February cold. My middle son went to an information session for college yesterday. Its hard to believe he is getting to that age.

QOTD: Being able to wear gym clothes to the gym. Its so much easier than packing everything into the gym bag, getting changed and then getting changed again to go back home.

Breakfast: egg and Bacon

snack: Greek yogurt

Lunch: Tuna creations

Snack: Cottage cheese

Dinner: Chili

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Good morning. It snowed a bit in Chicago yesterday but didn't accumulate. I actually missed it but somebody at work told me that it had been snowing and later on I saw the pictures. I work about 60 stories off the ground and sometimes we have snow outside our windows but by the time reaches the ground it has changed to rain.

QOTD: In a few weeks I am traveling to meet my daughter and attend her school's football game. We try and attend one road game together each year. I am sure we will get pumpkins as well but the teenage boys aren't as excited about it any more.

Breakfast: eggs, turkey sausage

Snack: Greek Yogurt

Lunch: Turkey meatballs (need to go to Trader Joes

Snack: Cottage cheese

Dinner: maybe the last of the ham from last week

Another late day for me. This mid-week trip kind of through me for a loop. I'm glad to be back home. Not a lot planned for the weekend other than the hockey game tomorrow night. While I was away my wife made a bunch of shrimp which my sons didn't eat, so there is a theme to my menu today.

QOTD: when there is a space between the headboard and the end of the mattress and pillows slide down into it

Breakfast: Shrimp

Snack: Light and fit yogurt

Lunch: Shrimp

Snack: shrimp, string cheese

Dinner Hamburger, Cheese

Onto the weekend.

Late post for me today. Up early and flew back to Chicago. I wish I could be involved in the AMAW/CAMAW but I'm still trying meats one by one. Next round I will definitely participate. Chicago got chilly while I was gone.

QOTD: My weight loss journey is very much beginning but I am starting to see the benefits: less medicines, smaller clothes, people noticing. Onward and Downward.

Breakfast: Omlette, sausage link

Snack: Yogurt and melon

Lunch: Shrimp

Snack:SF pudding

Good morning. I am flying to Portland Oregon for a two day meeting. I have a few friends that I haven't seen in awhile in that office (or attending the meeting) so it will be nice to see them.

QOTD: A pretty literal answer here. I have been using the CPAP for about 8 months. It definitely takes longer to fall asleep than without it. On the other hand I feel much better in the morning than before I started using it. The sleep technician told me that based on the shape of my jaw and where my tongue rides in my mouth that I may not be able to get free of it even when my weight is down. I guess we will see.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: protein forward plane if they have it

Lunch: deli turkey

Dinner: Fish and vegetable

Have a great day all.
