A fellow local OHer just told me the news ..   I posted about this gal's unfortunate accident a few days earlier ..  Maybe it's time for joggers to start wearing those same little plastic "helmets" that bicyclists do ..   :

That might help but taking off the head phones would go further.  Separating the joggers from the cyclist would be better.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

That worries me I see females out all the time, headphones on, and I am like that is dangerous as you do not know what is behind you or around the corner.  When I leave a store, I have keys in hand, and I look around as I walk to my car, even in broad daylight.  But then again, I was raised by a parent who worked for a police department, so I have a bit more inside knowledge, but common sense is common sense, always be aware of your surroundings.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.

I remember back when "portable" headphones first came out they were often doughnut-shaped with a hole in the center so that you could still hear sounds coming in from "outside".   Now though everyone has those little "bud" things that go into the ear and they totally block out the outside sounds if you have both of them in  ..  A disaster waiting to happen if  the wearer is "on the go" ...

  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.
