I am 6.5 months post op this time around, RNY. I will be there Friday and Saturday, and bringing clothes for exchange, and maybe find some things I can wear lol :), excited to meet everyone.

I'm 4 years post op I'm flying in from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Friday morning going home Sunday afternoon. I've never been to Texas before can't wait to meet everyone. Very excited about conference. Was at Phoenix event in 2007 and one day event in Pittsburgh in 2008.

Looking forward to meeting you Meggie. I definitely can use a good time. I seperated from husband in august after 19 years together. This trip is part of the new path in life I'm traveling. I can't believe I even signed up for the fashion show.

Oh goodness you have had some life changes!! So glad you are getting out and doing new things and meeting new people. It is the best thing for you! I decided to be in the fashion show this year too! It is my third OH weekend but my first on the catwalk!! But I am a bit of a ham so it is right up my alley!

I made a promise to take care of myself . The weekend my husband left I signed up for Nutrition class through my insurance company. I've lost 10 pounds. Dyed my hair red . I started seeing a great therapist, I joined a yoga class once a week. I'm getting a massage once a month and I believe that I will come out of this a better and healthier person. Its hard at times My husband's brother is married to my sister I think once the holidays are over it wll be easier. This trip is what I need. I bought a dress and shoes for the fashion show that I love but not like anything I've worn before. No better place than a state where I know no one to try out a new look LOL. Can't wait to see you on the runway.

I'm arriving noonish on Friday and departing mid-morning Sunday. My first OH conference was last year in Dallas. This is like a major shot in the arm and a big pep rally all rolled up into one!
