Sorry it took so long for me to post but I had no idea that the Pittsburgh VA didn't have Internet access available to the masses so I was kind of lost . I have a smart phone but it is just way too much trouble to try and figure out how to post stuff from my phone.

Anyhoo, my experience was really uneventful. I got there around 6:30 am on surgery day. They took me back and got me prepped and I was on the table at 8:30. They said goodnight Sherri, I said goodnight and the next thing I knew, I was in recovery. I had the single port surgery (1st in Pittsburgh VA for any type of lacroscopic surg but my doc has been doing it at another hospital he practices) and I must say, this is much more painful than when I had my gall bladder out a few years ago with the traditional method. The pain isn't show stopping or anything but it does keep your attention.

The only thing I am having a problem is with I lost my sensation of when I have to urinate. I know I have to because it's time and I should. I have no problem going but my body is no longer telling me when. Maybe have to do with the catheter that I had to wear for 1 1/2 days??? (oh, my the way, that was a breeze. Nothing to it)

Tomorrow, I start on full liquids and then the next week, mushies!!! Hip, Hip Hurray!

If anyone has any full liquids and/or mushies ideas, I am open to hear them!

Your sensation should come back soon, You are right to go even if you are not feeling it.

Making room for you on the bench...oh and I also had problems with going pee afterwards.  For me it was hard to get it out, I felt like I had to go but I had to really push push push and it would come out in little spurts.  But you will get past it and it will come back full force!  LOL!
