I am having surgery Monday, my son stayed home sick from school today and I think I'm getting what he had, I have a slight fever, sore throat, sinus pain. yuck. Can this keep me from surgery? I hope not!!
I would go see your pcp. I have been sick for two weeks and am hoping I get over it soon. My surgery is on the 19th and I have a preop on the 13th. You have my sympathies and prayers.

I know how you feel I have been sick for almost three weeks and my PCP said that my body should work it out by itself in 10-14 days but i can't seem to shake this cough. Hopefully it won't interfere with surgery next week.
Just let them know. I had a lousy head cold the day I was sleeved. The anesthesioligist gave me some sort of nasal spray and said as long as I didn't have a fever it would be fine.
