Pure Protein Snack

A friend just sent this to me.. It is a new Protein snack, the first time I am seeing it.. It has 25grams of protein and 100 calories..

One of the places I saw that you can buy them is at GNC,my friend is buying hers online at Amazon..

Wow..it looks like jello!!  Wonder how it tastes......

Don't know yet, going to get some this weekend and see how it is.. They also have protiein shakes that have 35g of protein and 160 calories..

Since I start my liquid diet on Monday I am going to see if I can find some of those and try them and see how they are as well.

The gelatins are primarily collagen for protein, and not used well by our bodies.  You want either whey isolate or soy isolate as your protein source.

You can buy protein "shots" even at Walmart - It's 2.9 oz fluid and in it is 25gm protein, 0 carbs and sugar, and like 100 or 110 cals. There is also one w/ 35 gm ny protein but I can't remember how many cals.

I did a post on this a while back when I first heard about them, and while not a lot of people had tried them, everyone that had said they were horrible.

I got the chance to try the tropical flavor recently (my nutritionist lets you try a bunch of proteins), and it was really, really bad. It's probably even worse post-surgery, since I'm a pre-op.
