I finally got a date yall!!!!!

So I said I would keepyou posted. I called the surgeons office this morning to get a date for surgery. So looks like I will be having my surgery on May 4th WOOHOO!
I will be starting my liquid diet on April 21st.

Jus a lil update for those that haven't seen my last post. On Monday 4-11 the surgeons office submitted paperwork to insurance.On Tuesday (yesterday) I received a call from the my insurance case worker and she told me that I got approved and she will fax over approval to surgeons office after she gets off the phonewith me, so thats when I called today and got my date. I will need to do one more visit wit surgeon which is on April 21st for a family visit. I guess thats jus to make sure u have support and if family has any questions regarding surgery. At that appt Im sure I wll get any last minute infor about surgery and hospital admittance.   

That is a WONDERFUL day ... it is my birthday!  :)

Jeani- lol I know uh, that was pretty fast. Maybe I was approved so fast because I was going thru sum hoops and started all pre op that insurance required me to do 7months ago when the put me on the 6month weigh ins. Maybe once I did everything they ask I was pre approved. And I all i needed to do surgeons list. I dont know Im jus trying to understand this whole insurance bureaucratic stuff. Whatever it was Im so happy with it. lol Thanks girl. I now Imma need your help when I go on this liquid diet so look forward to me whining......

Just another hoop to jump thru.  whine away,  i certainly did,  hated the liquid pre op.  Really tho,  it wasn't that bad,  after the third day you get used to it.  But i was bad and gained weight after i was denied so if i hadn't lost that 18 lbs on the pre op they might not have done the surgery.  Thankfully i was down 5 lbs from the first visit so what a relief that was.   Its all part of the fun and so worth it.  You are gonna love your sleeve  :o) Jeani

Congrats on the date.. We are almost twins.. LOL.. I am having mine on the 2nd of May, I start my liquid diet on Monday the 18th..  Lets try and keep each other posted after our surgeries to see how we are both doing.

Congradulations....the insurance a mystery to alot people....I have Aetna and they made me go through a 6mos supervised diet...by the time I was ready to submit I met all their requirements and I was able to get approve within 24hrs. I was shock, exspecially after hearing some the stories about how long it takes for approval. Again Congrads and see ya on the losers bench soon.

Jeani- Wow crazy insurance story. Well Im glad you finally got approved. I think the insurance companies do all dis crazy stuff to discourage ppl. Who wants to come out the pocket thousands of dollars without make someone sweat a little. lol

Susan- Twins yeahhhh, yes we can be sleeve buddies. we will hit that looser bench at the same time. Looking forward to hearing from you. 

Ronetta- I was approved too in 24hrs, I was so surprised. I screamed so loud when I was on the phone I probably made the poor girl deaf from the insurance company. lol Ooops sorry, I couldnt control myself. Hey so we will be exactly 1 month apart.
