Way to Go!  I am glad that your mouth opened up.. Because there is NO WAY to tell if that would have been just a skinny person that had not had surgery, she might have said nothing about what happened to that lady..

People can be so rude..  I know how that would have made me feel if I was that lady.. I would have felt like **it.. And for that sales girl to do that, to not think about how she hurt that ladies feelings.. I am glad that manager sent her home..

We are all people, no matter what size we are.. We all have feelings..

This story just made me cry.  I am sending you a great big hug for standing up for the lady.  I am still painfully aware of what it feels like in her shoes.  We should never forget where we came from.
I fit in well with a crowd now, and was marveling yesterday at how my shadow is the same size as everyone else's while I was at an outdoor event.  But inside I am still the Morbidly obese girl and that is okay with me.

You know, what you did in that store is HUGE. It will have a lasting impact on every person involved. You performed a very important act. You may never know how it will change the lives of the 4 of you - the sales clerk, the manager, the other customer, and yourself. I'm impressed. Good on you! You stood up for a stragner. Wow.

You are my hero.  I read your post twice because it's so fabulous!  I wonder, Are the sales people trained to be prejudice???
I have banned VS years ago for their rudeness  They will never get, not one red cent from me!

I dislike Victoria Secret also, but it is because of their smutty advertising.  I too will never give them a dime!

Good for you that you took a stand! You know how it feels to be invisible...we all do. It's interesting how people that never would have paid attention certainly notice you when you're more of a "normal" size. It's a good AND bad feeling at the same time because you know what  it was like before. You touched that woman's life and it may be a turning point for her.
