Well all I had my wls July 19, 2010 which was a great day. Than I was 3 weeks out and started to get  esophageal spasms which I still have to this day when I drink or eat food. But it does not happen ever day. Had acl surgery on my knee January 31.

Than my gallbladder went on February 28Th had it removed. But had alot of pain from my gallbladder before it was taken out. Now just got home from hospital and was told I have kidney stones they to will pass lol.  I was working out back in January and pinched my nerve in my elbow and two of my fingers are numb from that. I Will be having surgery on may 23 to remove the nerve from the elbow. I will be getting better soon I pray.  My problem with my kidney stones and gallbladder I was told due to the extra protein I drink each day.

But I was 300 lbs once and not getting smaller. I am still happy I had my wls even with all the bumps in the last 9 months I do not care I will take all the problems I am having over being 300 lbs. I was talking to my doctor and he asked me if i was up set over my wls causing me the problems i told him hell no I love my sleeve and would do it all over again with out even thinking twice.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

Hey I fell your pain. Sleeved 9/18/2010 and then my gallbadder removed 2/10/2011. Just spent a day in the hospital for pain that might be an adhesion and was told I have a bladder infection raging and 3 stones inside my kiddney. I had my knee done befor all of this last may and still not walking the best.
I tell you all this not to compeat, but to tell you thank you for sharing I have been so depressed the last week I have just stayed in bed and feeling very sorry for myself. You made me remember I weight 362 pounds and now I weight 268. I have almost lost 100 pounds and even with all of the crap I would do it again too.
Thank you and good luck. Heres to getting to be skinny and living a long, long time.

Dratdhnme,

Did the Doctor tell you there was something you could have done to prevented the gallbladder problem or is this something common with WLS? Were you prescribed any medication for gallbladder before you started having trouble? I keep hearing people having kidney stones and I'm kind of curious of what that feels like also? Sorry for all of the questions!

my stones hurt on and off. I guess they hurt when they are moving. I think they are in my bladder so i am sure I will be passing them soon I hope. They burn and I can feel them in my bladder when I have to use the bathroom I do not go much feels like an infection but it is not yet it is the stones.

Gallbladder was bad for 23 years but my weigh toss doctor did all kinds of test because i was in pain and he found the problem. They say all the extra protein we drink will cause the problem. I heard others say they took medication for the gallbladder and it did not hep others say it did help who knows.

But I am happy with my choice and would do this sleeve all over again.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

Good for you. I was just curious on how you knew you had kidney stones and gall bladder issues. But sounds like you are doing better which is wonderful!

Take Care!

"Most of my problems are due to my wls because of the extra protein i take in."

Sorry to hear about your challenges. Would you explain your protein comment?

Thanks
