Urine Injections anyone?!?!
There are many, many people where I work that are doing the HCG diet and people in my motorcycle who are doing it and losing 30, 60, and even a 100 lbs using it. Many of them asked me why I didn't do that instead of the WLS. My answer is well I did podimin only to find out it damaged people's heart, luckily I wasn't one of them. It was also talked about how it was out in the 1940's for heart patients and the side effect was weight loss. Then they said it was taken off the market but they didn't say because it caused damage to the heart in many patients. Ever since then, I made a vow to myself to never do another fad diet! I even went on the calorie count of 500 a day to just prove to some of my co workers that it wasn't the HCG but the low calorie count that was making them lose weight. After five days on it, I started having dirreaha and decided that was enough for me. Most doctors and pharmicists say that eventually people will have trouble with their other organs. As for WLS surgery, I tell people that the sleeve takes away the craving hormones and the stretchy part of my stomach plus reduces my stomach to a smaller one that I will have to learn to eat less and I won't have to worry about gaining my weight back as with all of the other diets that I have tried in the past 40 years of my life. (now I am 62). I did my research on this surgery so I feel real sure that I have made the right decision. Most people who do the fad diets don't research anything just see someone losing weight and want to try that "new" diet! WLS is for life and I knew that coming into it. Even with all of the nausea that I had I still am totally happy with the sleeve surgery that I had. Time will only tell about the people who are doing HCG. For their sake, I hope it doesn't hurt their health howeve I was not willing to take that chance again. Besides, I have lost 29.5 lbs in 30 days so what has HGC got over the sleeve?
