Post op day #2
Just wanted to let everyone know I survived surgery yesterday! Surg said everything went perfect, only took 45 minutes. Lots of gas pain in the shoulders/chest, yuck! Lots of sipping, walking, and resting. However no peeing, which bought me a strait cath, I don't know what the deal is, I have NEVER had a problem peeing! More updates later! Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers, they helped!

It sounds like you are doing great! It just gets better from here.just keep sipping, walking, and resting! I am 3 weeks out and feeling really good, the first few days are the worst :)

My surgery date was 3/28, and I had trouble peeing too. Never had the problem before either. They just pumped me full of fluids, and I finally started going around mid-day the day after surgery. Good thing, too, because they weren't going to discharge me until all my "plumbing" worked! You're doing great and you will be glad you did this - it's really worth it! Good luck!
