DEALING WITH DEATH

We got the word of a friend and co-worker being killed on his motorcycle this past Saturday.  It has been devastating.  Today, even though I've resisted, all I've wanted to do is eat.  This is the first real test of my sleeve.  My head is saying, "Eat something.  It'll make you feel better".  That's the way I've handled hard times through most of my life.  Well, today not so much.  Thanks sleeve for helping me say "NO!" to the comfort food monster.

So sorry for your loss.   Remember that food won't make you feel better, it will make you feel worse...Consider getting in some exercise.  It's a natural mood enhancer.  Honoring yourself is the best way to honor your friend.  Seek comfort in happy memories and my condolences....

Awww Im sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I know exactly what you mean about eating for comfort, it was losing my mom for which I ate myself into oblivion and got to the point that I needed the sleeve. I have wondered what will happen now that I have the sleeve when I lose someone else close to me. Your post assures me that I'll be more able to stay in control and that alleviates my worry on the matter. May God comfort you and yours at this time and may he continue to keep that comfort food monster at bay :)
*Hugs* Missy
