Tomorrow and I cheated!!!

Revision on 01/13/14
We are in our hotel room in beautiful Puerto Vallarta. It was a hot and sunny day. I cheated on my liquid diet today . I ate scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages.....yes there is lots of guilt, but I had to! All I could do was smell the food and it was like a magnet. I hope it doesn't make such a big deal for the surgery. I am not nervous at all; in fact I am really excited. We need to be at the hospital for 11:30am tomorrow. Have a wonderful night everybody!!

Revision from sleeve to RNY is set for January 13, 2014.

I don't think it will have any effect on the surgery. I was liquid for 2 weeks pre-op but my dr. said i could eat SENSIBLY the day before, especially because it was Easter. She told me to eat kinda earlyish in the day and then just make sure I was NPO at midnight.
I have to be honest that I didn't eat very sensibly - I wasn't terrible, but I kinda ate a bit of all the Easter food. LOL Everything was fine day of surgery.

Good luck tomorrow... YAY!!

Ready for a new me... Sleeved on 4/25/11

First let me say that I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and recovery!! Let me also say that my surgeon didn't require liquids for days like most do. I had a meal at 3pm the day before surgery and THEN had to do liquids... then no food/liquid after midnight. I don't think it will harm your surgery.

I DO think you should tell your surgeon. Don't start off with a cheat and a lie about it. You need to be prepared NOT to cheat after surgery... follow your doc's plan as closely as you can.

Hope all goes well and without a hitch!!

The liquid diet 24 hours before is basically so your stomach is empty. Yo should be fine if you had only liquids after that. Best of luck on your surgery and a safe trip home!!!

You will do fine.  Your last meal was breakfast right???  Since your surgery is at 11:30 you will have only liquids for 24 hours.  I had a meal the day before surgery and I was FINE.
