HEY YALLL... DO ANY OF YOU VSG'RS HAVE VITAMIN DEFICIENCIES ONE PLUS YEARS OUT.... MY PAL WHO HAD BYPASS, HAS VIT K DEF.  WONDERING IF VSG CLIENTS ARE ALSO EXPERIENCING THIS... TAMMY

VSG on 07/28/10 with
I had VSG back in July so not one year out and my vit d is super low. Have to take 50,000iu three times per week for 4 months.

were you low pre surgery, our were you tested before...

after my last labs, they actually told me i needed to back off some of my supplements -- my D was too high, as were my B's....   they told me to add some zinc, but that was all.....

bypass patients are much more likely to have deficiencies because of the malabsorption...  not an issue with VSG...
