appeal letters

Hi,

 does anyone have an appeal letter they could email me to have my surgery changed from outpatient to inpatient surgery?  I would appreciate any help on this matter.  Thanks in advance.

my appeal letter was on the issue of investigational status but its on my blog page under the section "four and a half months out". seems like this would be a matter of medical necessity and pretty much all vsg i have heard of is inpatient. gl. Diane

Hey sweetie,  i got my letter from Diane and a few other people and i edited it to my personal needs but like Diane it was for being denied as investigational.   Don't know if its any help to you but its on my profile on the right under archives from June 2010.   I really pray that this all gets resolved for you.  I know how depressing all this stuff can be.  Will be hoping it all works out for you :o) jeani

mine was denied because the medical director of bcbs fed of pa feels the procedure or code they used can be done on an outpatient basis.. not inpatient.   I know I cant come up with the money for awhile and I feel that I would be settling for the other surgery if that is done inpatient.. But I guess either one if I get the same results right?

I will be hoping that when you submit the code that other lady gave you it will all work out for you.  I do have a friend that got denied for the sleeve and had the rny and is doing good.  So i will just pray that it all works out the way its supposed to for you sweetie.  Try to stay positive i know its hard to do   :o) jeani
