My motivation for WLS was health related. I had high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides, borderline diabetes, then discover, when i could all of a sudden hardly walk, that i have arthritis in my left hip. Dr said lose weight or have a hip replacement. Well at 59 i didn't want to do that and i know i have never been able to lose weight and keep it off. This is by far the best thing i ever did for myself and while i still have a ways to go i consider myself a big success. All of my health issues have been resolved. I no longer eat pain pills like candy and i like what i see in the mirror now which hasn't happened in a long time. To anyone on the fence i say " go for it" truly its been a miracle in my life. My journey is not over, i'm a slow loser, but that's ok, My new love is kettlebells and my body is still changing for the better. To all my fellow May June 2010 sleeve buddies, congrats on making a year and can"t wait to see what the next year brings. I want to thank you all for the love and support that i have recieved from all of you. I'm so proud to be on this journey with all of you. Onward and downward, love you guys jeani
