You use wax paper, right? How much parm & how long do you nuke it? Thanks! :)

I make mine in the oven. 4-5Tbsp of grated parmesan in little piles on parchment paper, and baked for about 10 minutes at 375-400degrees. I never used the microwave so I can't help ya there.

Jenijeni showed me how to make them. She said do not use wax paper- only parchment paper. She microwaves for 2 min, but my microwave is low watt, so I put mine in for 4 min. Any kind of cheese will work, even cubes of chedder, but the good shaved parks and romanos are the best.

I do mine in a teflon fry pan. Heat shredded Parm on high till brownish on the bottom. Take your spatula and go around the edges to make them round. Flip and cook a few more minutes. Remove and cool. I have been using this method since I saw the technique on the cooking shows. When they are hot out of the pan, you can put them over a cup to bend them and shape them into perfect little salad bowls to serve fancy lettuce, Italian-style salad out of them. They are so cool. Tonight I made a flat one after reading about them on here and how people make crisps out of them. It tasted kinda salty, but that might have just been the brand of Parm I used and the fact there was no salad in them. They are such a treat--enjoy!

I make these with the shredded low-fat cheeses.  And I like to sprinkle popcorn flavorings on them before melting.  Stuff like Ranch powder, garlic, cajun seasoning, etc.  Really makes for a flavorful treat...
