I can only speak to what my doctor recommended - and that was dense proteins asap. Wanted all protein from food as quickly as possible. Only you know your body so do what you think is best - maybe introduce 1 meal/day of more dense protein to start.

Ehh, I stayed on soft proteins for over 3 months. Never had any ill effects on my weight loss, I didn't have drink those repulsive shakes for protein grams, and thrived. Why push in 1oz of solid dense protein, when I could eat 3oz of soft protein (fish, ground meats, super moist chicken/tuna/egg salad) and double my protein intake.

My capacity didn't allow me to solid foods so I did what I needed to do to ensure that I was getting proper nutrition.

As far as I know.....it's fine....even better with a slower transition.

I extended every stage....when I asked my surgeon about doing it....he was a little shocked and said "fine.... take as long as you want....just get your protein in"

I'm still pretty much on soft because it agrees with me. I've never been much of a meat person anyway so I'm staying right where I am. I'm getting my protein by eating well and drinking a protein shake (or 2 if I need to) every day.

you're fine, do what works for you and makes you feel comfortable! as long as you're getting all your protein in and eating foods like you said - yogurt, fish, eggs, those are all great
