Wow! Bad pain...

Almost 5 months out. Pain started yesterday just to right of center about an inch below my ribcage. It radiates to the left to about center or just left of center. MUCH worse if I eat or drink anything. Kept me up all night. I'm thinking gallbladder... Any thoughts? Have already called surgeon and waiting for call back. Thanks gang!!

Yeah, sounds like gall bladder.  Bad pain.  It's pretty common after WLS from what I read.  I'm actually having mine removed at the same time as my surgery because I already have gall stones and needed to have that surgery anyway.  Definitely call your surgeon.  It can become a bit of a problem if it is constant and does not subside.  Something can be blocked and it becomes more of an emergency surgery.  Still not something to get too worried about though.  Simple surgery.  Good luck and I hope you feel better!

Doc just called. Going in for ultrasound of gallbladder.

Just wanted to say good luck.  They found my gallstones when I did pre-op testing, but didn't have removed yet...probably future surgery!  Take care, Viv

Jeni, ugh.  Gallbladder pain is the worst!  But its easily fixed, so there's that.  I remember the horrible pain with mine - wouldn't wi**** on my worst enemy.  Well...maybe my WORST enemy, but that's about it.
