I'm super excited to be meeting with the surgeon for the first time tomorrow morning. It actually is feeling like this process is becoming REALITY! I have a lot of my own questions that I have compiled after months of reading OH, but I'm curious....WHAT DID YOU ASK??

I asked how long the surgery takes, what would I have for pain afterwards, how long should I expect to be in the hospital, how much did he expect I could lose, ummm thinking what else

how many vsg's have you performed?
what size bougie?
what are your complications stats?
do you order anticoagulants before/after surgery?
what type pain med and anti-nausea ordered after surgery?
do you order a ppi post-op?
how often will i see you post-op ?

Oooo...good stuff! Thanks! Poor surgeon is going to feel like he's taking his board exams again. I'm sure he is experienced enough that he will answer a lot of questions up front. I just need some back up questions. :)

Concur with jengo plus check if gall bladder is removed routinely and is actigall included in your meds regimen.

Ask if he will do a leak test after surgery?

Ask how many surgeries he has performed?

Ask how many leaks has he had?
