keep reading the posts and you'll see lots of good info. also you can do a search on the OH website with vsg and whatever topic you're looking for. there's a newbie faq which i will try to find and post.
the pre-op is a pain in the patoot, but it's not permanent and the first couple of weeks sucked for me, but others have absolutely no problems, so it's totally variable. let yourself feel whatever you're feeling: excited, worried, ecstatic, panicked. all natural. i cried a lot the last week and have to tell you that i feel TOTALLY normal now, just using my tool -- and it seems to be working pretty well.
ask any and all questions and you'll find people who can answer. that's why we're here!!!!!
