I am wondering if the pre-op protein diet was a problem for anyone else, so far it is liquid in, liquid out, and I dont like it at all! Is this normal?

Your insides dont work like an ice cream maker and make everything become a solid.. it just takes the nutrients that it needs then gets rid of everything else..

If I may ask what are you doing for your pre op diet? What brand of shake are you doing? Where can I buy it? I bought some Bariatric fusion shakes and they are horrible! I am searching for something else!!! I only made it through 2 shakes they were so bad and the shakes I was on did me the same way!!!

For my pre-op diet I am on 3 shakes a day and a lean cuisine for dinner. I have a milk allergy so I have to get the soy protein powder and the one that I love love love, is EAS from walmart its cheaper and tastes less chalky than the one from GNC I mix it with my soy milk and its really good!! I actually look forward to drinking these shakes!

I had no problems but then again I was only on liquids for 2 days.
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have read from others they go
through the same thing.  sorry I have no clue as to why.

Hang in there....and I hope you find a solution.  Perhaps the peeps that
did the 2 week liquid diet could be of some wonderful help.

Yes had the same.  Liquid in, Liquid out Pre and Post Op.  Everyone assured me it would stop, and for the most part it did.  Except I was suddenly intolerant to my Whey drink :(

I'm learning to get my protien in without shakes.  I'm doing pretty good - calories still down in the 500 range but that's pretty good for me too. I have soy drink for those days I'm not going to make it but I hate the stuff with a vengence.

Other than a sudden allergy to whey - it stopped completely.

Add some Benefiber to one or two of your shakes a day. I think most of us had that problem when we were on liquids.
