Vegas Vacation - PICS

I’ve been back from my trip to Vegas for almost a week now, but I haven’t had time to put all my thoughts together.  The trip was great! I was there for a seminar, but that was only from 1-5 pm for three days.  The rest of the time was fun!

One of my unexpected results of losing weight has been sleeping less and waking up earlier.  I would wake up before my alarm almost every morning and go walking on the strip before it got really hot.  That was a lot more fun than walking on the treadmill!!  On the last morning I walked down the strip to the Venetian because I had a $13.00 casino ticket that I’d forgotten to cash in a previous evening.  I got my money and saw the Grand Lux Café and went in for a pomegranate martini - ended up having three!  It was 8:00 in the morning!!!  Well, 10:00 by the time I left.  Only in Vegas do you stop and have martinis on your morning walk.

I would go out to the pool.  I’m still not brave enough for a bathing suit, so I wore short exercise shorts and a tank top with my sports bra underneath.  Two years ago I went to the same seminar and have to walk by the pool all the time and smell the chlorine and see the people having fun and hope that one day I would be able to do that.  And I did!!!

One day we went on all the rides on top of the Stratosphere Tower.  I fit on all three with room to spare.  That night I went back and did the Skyjump - where you jump off the 108^th floor of the tower in a harness on a cable.  You free fall almost until the ground and it slows you down real quick and you land. Now that was AWESOME!!   I almost chickened out at the last second, but then went for it.

I have some pictures.  The first one is my seat belt on the plane.  The second one is me before I went out one night.  If you read my last post about an activity that I did on my Vegas vacation - it was THAT night!!  The third pic is me relaxing by the pool.  The fourth pic is on top of the Stratosphere, right before I jumped off.










As you can tell by this last one I will be needing a tummy tuck or something when I get to goal!  But for now I'm just enjoying myself as I lose weight.

But it's time to buy new clothes! LOL...that pretty outfit is way too baggy!

Thanks.  That's kind of something I have trouble with is wearing clothes that fit right.  For years I wanted clothes that were loose - like I thought they would hide me or something.  Now I want to wear things that fit better, but I don't think my head has wrapped around it yet.  I had bought those white crop pants a couple of months ago and have been waiting to fit into them.  That was actually my first time to wear  them!  I didn't realize how big they were until I saw the picture.  I also need to take into account that denim STRETCHES!!  I may think it's snug when I put it on, but in 10 minutes it's looser.  The shirt I knew was bigger.  I have another one of the same style but a size smaller that fits better.  I have another one a size smaller than that even that I'm waiting to wear.  Maybe I should try it on, it might fit!

You look great!!....you lost over 100Ibs in about 8 months, that is so awesome.  I'm around your age, weight and height and hope I can do the same.  Still waiting for a surgery date.

The first 100 pounds came off relatively quickly.  But now it is so slow!!  Luckily we have NSV's and not just SV's.  If I had to count on the scale as my sole source of progress I'd have given up a long time ago!
