My family doctor thinks I am losing too much too fast

I went to see him today about my thyroid meds, as I have had to have several adjustments in dosage since losing weight.  He laughingly  accused me today of starving myself. ( I had lost 5 pounds since I last saw him on August 3rd)   I told him I certainly wasn't starving, just sticking to my high protein, low or no carb diet.  I assured him that I knew I was not eating a balanced diet, but that I would do so as soon as I get to goal.  He looked at all my bloodwork, and even checked my hemoglobin to make sure I was not anemic and agreed that all my levels were perfect so I couldn't possibly be starving.

Whatever you do, don't change a thing.  You are doing just fine and you will get to goal this way and then make slight changes.

You are doing awesome and apparently your doctor may not have a total clue
about WLS and how it works.  Keep Rocking Your Sleeve.  Your doing AWESOME!

Im seeing my Endocrinologist today.  This will be the first time he has seen me since my surgery.  He is not aware that I had the surgery.  So i'm a little worried he may say the same.  But  my labs were all great as well.  So Im hope he will he OK.   He is a older gentleman.  Older docs seem to have a harder time with the surgery.  I just think that they dont follow WLS, and  dont really understand how it all works.  WhenI wnet to my internest ast week, I had to explain the surgery to her,, she had never heard of VSG.
Keep up your good work...Keep up posted.
