Thoughtless, busy eating!

I haven't done it since the start of solid foods and learned about eating too much and/or too fast...FOAMIES!!! YUK!
But today while busy getting my day started, a hard boiled egg followed by a couple glugs of milk while putting together tonights dinner for company in a crock pot and thinking about all the stuff I had to do and loading the dishwasher and....BAM! Constriction and FOAMIES!

I never realized I was such a slow learner (sigh)

On a good note the pain and foamies went away in about 15 minutes but the memory will stick with me for another month or two (hopefully)

Doesn't take long to learn for our mistakes. I've done that then suffered. It was a long time before I would eat that fast and yes it did happen again. I'm learning the hard way. LOL.

Did you forget to wait an hour before you drank?   You just gulped some milk out of old habits, right after eating?

Awwwwwww,  I hear you just learned something and have faith you wont do it again....

I have never gotten the foamies, but I know that feeling of constriction.  I overdid it one time when I was pretty early out and it was such an intense, concentrated pressure (some pain, but mostly pressure) in my chest for about 30-45 minutes and I still haven't overdone it since.

Yes I just ate the egg then went to the fridge to get something and in my head I said "I'm thirsty" and "where is that pesto" then grabbed the milk and the pesto, got a cup, poured about an 1/4 cup of milk and drank two gulps.
The second gulp did not even hit my stomach when total awareness kicked in.....I knew what was coming just before it hit.

Now that the pain and foamies are gone...it's kind of funny looking back.
Not ha ha funny but "duh" funny. LOL

Before surgery most of my meals were eaten standing up and cooking/serving for other people. Mostly because I love doing that, cooking and serving, not eating standing up.
Now I have to be really, really, really aware of what I'm doing or else.
