1 week post OP my experience
i'm 8 days out and yes, it does seem like we're drinking ALL the time. It takes me forever to finish stuff too. Then I'm not hungry so forget to drink and have to try to play catch up.
I'm actually doing well with soups... although i've only tried tomato i got 3 servings of 2 oz. of soup in so counted that 6 oz. towards my total fluid intake.
i only got down 1 8 oz. protein drink today (20 oz. protein) and it's also my first full day on full liquids so i'm taking it all in stride and saying tomorrow i'll do better.
shoot! just realized i hadn't taken my multivitamin yet. I just was able to chew one and my dr. just told me yesterday he now wants me to take 2. haven't started that yet. i think i'll take my first b 12 tablet tonight also. excited for some energy!

I was dealing with the same problem. I talked to my doctor and she put me on a pill to prevent stomach spasms and told me to stop taking my vitamins. She said its better for me to have liquids in my pouch right now than vitamins. Once I get over this I can start them again. Today was the first day since Surgery I got over 40 ounces in me. And I'm finally beginning to feel like I can walk across the room without passing out. I was getting maybe 24-30 ounces at day 7 after surgery. My husband also took chicken broth and added alittle cream of chicken to it. And it was like eating a steak. having it alittle thicker made all the difference.
