Although it's disappointing, it's for your safety.  You are at risk for a leak up until day 14.  I was on clear liquids for 1 week then full for 2 weeks.  But all your pain right now is so worth it!!!!  It took me 8 months to get to goal!!!

Don't get too excited about mushies, I cannot eat very much yet and still rely on mostly liquids all day. Some say the longer you can stay on the fluids the bettter, it allows your stomach more time to heal. I did the 3 weeks post op liquids, first week clear then onto protein drinks. I am still having a hard time in believing I am full after a couple of bites. Today I would only eat about a 1/3 of a can of tuna, just didn't have the appetitie but wasn't feeling the greatest either. I am changing my days up lots trying to avoid this stall, tuna, eggs one day, yogurt and cottage cheese the next just mixing everything up and not staying on a normal schedule.

Take advantage of getting your protein in with the protein drinks and losing lots of weight on the liquids. Like some of the vets say, stay on them as long as you can.
