has anyone out there had the sleeve done through the henry ford system in warren michigan?

I am in the process. I was scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Marshall on Dec. 7. BC/BS of Michigan suddenly added the 6mos. of a medically supervised diet to the plan. So I should be ready by mid February.

why did you choose dr marshall or was he assigned to you? just wondering about the surgeons. did you or will you have a scope done on your stomach first? i was wondering how they know your stomach is healthy enough to remove a part of it. thanks, any input would be appreciated!

 I had mine there December 2010, with Dr. Marshall.   My wife just had hers done last Tuesday.  Questions, send me a message.

i am in the process of all the consultations right now and i will have to decide on a surgeon soon. i was just wondering about the docs. good/bad experiences with them. i met dr. marshall and did like him and i know that they both have experience. did you do a preop diet? what did you think of the nurses at the hospital? did either of you have any complications? thanks any input would be appreciated!

I had mine done at the Henry Ford main campus hospital in Detroit w Dr Genaw.  I have BCBSM and it was the easiest process ever.  Had my orientation on 5/24 and surgery on 8/29.
