Just curious, does anyone take Celebrex??  I have arthritis in my hips and they are hurting a lot. I know its best to call my Dr. and I will tomorrow.  Just wanted to see if anyone is.

Thanks

Yes, I'm 3 years out, and I take Celebrex, even though I don't think we're really supposed to.  Although I don't know why, when we had the sleeve and not the bypass.  Some people on here say their docs allow Celebrex, however.  I just had knee surgery and literally HAD to take something for the swelling.  Took a Prevacid an hour before and then opened up the capsule and sprinkled it in my food.  I've done that several times and had no problems.  But, of course. . . I'm not a doctor.

I have arthritis in both knees and was able to take them after surgery, but I had to wait until 2 weeks after.

Yes I take Celebrex. Before surgery I was on Mobic, but it is a NSAID so I was changed to celebrex which is a cox inhibitor and does not have the same properties as Celebrex. After 3 months I am feeling well enough to decrease celebrex from 200 mg two times daily to 100mg
two times daily. My goal is to get to once daily.  I was in an automobile accident 30 years ago and now I am riddled with osteoarthritis....Of course 20 years above 300# didn't help. 289# and losing. GREAT to BE a LOSER!!!
