Starting C25K

I have decided to try to develop myself into a runner (jogger really )  Anyway, today I've decided to begin the Couch to 5K program.  I tried this program before and I got through about Week 4 which is almost halfway there.  But now I'm trying with over 60lbs lost.

On Friday, I had some issues which made me late for a flight.  I actually was running through an airport terminal to my gate when I realized...I'm running!  Maybe my body is ready to step it up and I didn't even realize it.

So I hope this goes well.  I still have the app on my ipod so I'm ready to go.  Wish me luck!

Awesome! Dont be afraid to repeat weeks if you aren't ready to move on, but also be prepared to push yourself even when you dont think you can do it.

Good luck!

That's awesome!  I went walking this morning, with the idea in mind that I should start C25K again next Monday.

The last time I lost a significant amount of weight (pre-surgery with Phentermine) I did the program and ended up stopping very close to the end (within 1 or 2 weeks of finishing).  I LOVED it though.  I did it on my treadmill, and I just could not believe that I was able to run/jog for 30 minutes at a time without stopping.  I am not a "natural" runner, so that was just an awesome feeling!

Good luck to you, and hopefully I'll be right behind you!

P.S. They have a Facebook page, if you want to "Like" it...

Good luck to you! I was able to start running after losing most of my weight. When I'm running, it really sinks in how much has changed with the weight loss. It's a great stress-reliever that you can do anywhere, too.
