4 mo update with pics!
so I am a little over 4 months since my surgery (11/26 was 4 mo) and I just wanted to give an update on how I have been doing. i am so happy, i feel like a lifelong burden has been lifted and I cannot even tell you how much better my life is. i used to struggle every day with an insane addiction to food, when I was upset I would not be able to stop myself from eating and I was tortured by the vicious cycle of eating and gaining weight. I used to do crazy diets and feel so bad all the time and starve to try to compensate. i went to therapy, hypnosis, every diet in America, you name it, i tried it!
after the surgery there are still days that my initial inclination to eat is there, but I am much better able to fight them off and move on with my day. i am no longer hungry all the time or tortured by food, i eat yummy things all the time and i never feel deprived. I was about 290 at surgery and now weight 229! in 4 months, which is slower than some, but I really do not restrict myself as much as others with regards to protein/carbs. I feel like I can live like this the rest of my life and if you are debating the surgery, do it! it will set you free!
