Hi!  I have a food dehydrator that I haven't touched since my wedding.  13 years ago.

Anyone have an awesome jerky recipe that I can use in my dehydrator (if I can find it :))

Thanks!!

Take a london broil, freeze it.  Then let if partially thaw. Remove all visible fat.  Slice it very, very thin, preferably with meat slicer if you have it.  Make a marinade of equal parts Worchester sauce and teriyaki sauce add salt and pepper.  Coat the meat and let marinade overnight.  Put in dehydrator for a few hours until done.  Enjoy.

I got a dehydrator for Christmas and just had my hubby go to the grocery store and have the meat sliced in jerky slices...I am going to soak it in marinaid and see how it turns out! Has to be healthier than jerky from stores.

we have wild turkeys on our ranch & DH is pheasant hunting right now.

i don't handle the processing - hubby has our butcher make a cajun turkey jerky for us (he keeps some for processing charge).

Your post reminded me to make some.  I now have a bag sitting on my counter.  It turned out great and pretty low sodium.  I also made dried shrimp.  This is an acquired taste as is not for everyone.  I love them and actually, they are my favorite snack to take with me when I travel.  I just add cumin, hot chili powder, salt and pepper to already cooked shrimp and put them in the dehydrator.  I like them a little crispy.

Yes, they can.  That's how I did it.
