I've always thought of it as having surgery under 200lbs.

to me, a 35-40 (or less) bmi would be a lightweight

My dr considers me a light weight since I have less than 100 pounds to lose.  That may be the only time in 20 years that I have been considered "light!"  LOL

Generally, lightweights lose slower, but that's because they have less to lose in the first place.

WELL MOONGLO82 I'M GOING TO HOPE THAT WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE BECAUSE I HAVE ABOUT 87 LBS TO LOSE AND IT'S COMING OFF VERY SLOWLY (I THINK IT IS ANYWAY). Either way, you made me feel better about it. Thanks!

I am a lightweight but I've never in my life considered a 26 lb weightloss in two months to be slow.
I realize that many people are losing 1 lb a day at the start, but I think it is all relative.  I'm thrilled to see numbers that I haven't seen in 30 years.  After one step forward, two steps back for that length of time, I'm getting towards goal without going backwards!
