How often did you call them when waiting on approval?

I didn't call CIGNA. I think my approval took about three weeks, but I'm not sure because the insurance speciallist from my surgeon's office forgot to call to tell me I was approved and I found out when I called them.

After the six months of diet and excercise stuff, my approval took a week. I never called Cigna. The surgeons office called me and then Cigna sent a letter. I had to get it ammended b/c they approved me for RNY, but I wanted sleeve. They just changed the code and sent a new letter the next week.

 My insurance was Cigna through UHC.  I waited a week and then called them every other day for an update.  It didn't bug them at all, and I knew what step the process was in the whole way!
