what can I take?

I need to know what can I take for diarrhea? Im 5 weeks post op..of coures I should have called Dr during the week but I just let it go, so I thought I would ask you guys.. Any information would be greatly apprecaited.

 I'm sure your pharmacist can point you in the right direction.  There is more then enough over the counter remedies.

I was just worried that I would take the wrong thing.. I have some stuff here at the house but just wondered if there was anything special we could take or something that we shouldnt take..

I use Immodium...never had issues with taking it.

This is just my opinion, but when I have diarrhea or any of my family get it, we do not take anything to stop it. My PCM, and surgeon both advise against taking stuff to stop it unless it's a chronic condition. They both told me, it's typically the body trying to rid itself of something or an overproduction of bacteria.  We always load up on yogurt and probiotics, stick with bland foods, and avoid milk. I have seen other take Pepto or Immodium without issue, but I just push clear fluids, load up on the probiotics and let it run it's course.
