It seems like I was just getting home from the hospital, but that was 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Congratulations on your surgery and I can tell you from experience it gets better everyday. I also had the pressure feeling around my rib cage and found if you try to walk around a bit and with time that will go away.
I had blood pressure issues which we figured out was pain oriented. My blood pressure is back to normal now. Hang in there, do what they tell you and take your pain meds. Thank heavens for liquid pain meds for the first week or so.
I went to the grocery today to stock up on my "full liquids" and also stopped at the local liquor store to pick up some of the little containers that are used for jello shots with the lids. That way I can pack up all of my 1 ounce containers and put them in a small thermal bag and not miss any of my nutrition. That has been the hardest thing for me is managing to get everything in if I have to go somwhere. Problem solved!
Hope you have a good night tonight and don't forget to take your pain meds when you need them. I promise you will feel better everyday. To quote my doctor " this is a marathon, not a sprint"!
Best wishes!

Congratulations!
Having a buddy is always an easier path than alone.

You sound like you're doing well.
Good luck and best wishes.

It's so good to hear everything went so well (and fast!).  My surgery took 2 1/2 hours because my surgeon fixed my hiatal hernia at the same time.  Glad you had a surgery buddy right there with you!  Best of luck to you as you recover!

Regina.  Ready to live again.
