7 months out!
i just went for my 6 month check up at my surgeon and he told me that with less to lose, it's going to be stop and go for a bit. he thinks i'll only lose another 20 pounds. i think i'll lose another 40. i sometimes stay the same for 2/3 weeks and then it drops again... only lost 6 pounds last month and within the past 2 weeks i lost 10. crazy.
Why? What would a liquid diet accomplish that a high-protein low-carb low-calorie food diet wouldn't in this situation?
It's normal to run into stalls and weight loss slow-downs. Re-evaluate everything you are doing and see if you can make adjustments. Are you tracking your food every day? Are you limiting carbs and calories, while keeping protein and water up? Are you exercising?
Liquid diets remind me of just that... dieting. Extreme stuff we can't possibly maintain for the long haul and is so different from clean, food-based eating. I want to feel as normal as possible while eating less, eating clean, and eating well!
You may have hit a point where the amount you consume equals the amount you burn. In that case, you may have to adjust things to get the loss going again. Don't know that until you've tracked and evaluated everything.

There aree ways to go low cal, without doing liquids. For example, tonight I had a very filling 70 calorie boca burger, and 20 calories of quinoa, for supper...
