The Bloat

 I just had my VSG this past Thursday, is it normal to feel extremely bloated in the belly?

Oy vey!!!!!!  Between that and the gas and diarrhea......... I assume it's just part of the process and this too, shall pass!!!! 

Hi!  Congrats on your surgery...yes it is VERY normal to feel extremely bloated.  When the surgery is done they inflate your belly with gas in order to make room to work.  The more you walk the faster the gas will pass.  Plus you were hooked up to IV fluids.   This also may be giving you a bloated feeling.  It can take a week or so for it all to pass.  Just keep walking and sipping! :)
