Is it ok for me to say...

It is okay for me to say...That is drives me up the wall when I see people complaining about not being able to loose weight or not yet being at their goal weight or even gaining weight, when they know they are NOT doing what they are suppose to do....
I don't just mean on this site, or just in this forum, I also keep up with people on youtube.
But seriously why do you wonder why your stalled or why your not losing or why you are gaining if you know your not  watching what you eat, you know your cheating, your know your drinking soda, you know your not working out, you know your not doing anything physical.
WHY ARE YOU WONDERING WHY?!?

I know I haven't had surgery yet, and I know I am just on the outside looking it, I know that weight loss is a struggle and I know that food is an addiction to some people and some people struggle everyday.

I'm not trying to beat up or pick on anyone or call anyone out, but it truly drives me beyond crazy to hear or see or read someone complaining when they know what they are suppose to be doing and just aren't doing it!

I just had to get that out it's something that has bothered me for a while...

Well, I am one of those people who have "complained" about not losing as much as I'd like as fast as I'd like, and I also concede that I struggle with getting enough fluids in and exercising enough.

*However*  this is a forum where people like me can come and vent and get encouragement.  Battling any addiction, including food addiction, is extremely difficult and is a battle that is waged every day. Some people are better equipped for that battle, and others, like me, struggle every single day.

I would hope that you and others  would simply encourage people who need it when they need it and not kick them when they are down.  It's awful easy to judge, and, in my opinion, there's no place for that here .

Well said. Not much to add except one more thing. Its easy to judge a situation that you've not experienced yet.

I was not reffering to anyone that is giving their sleeve a fighting chance to help them.
I know it's a struggle to get in all your fluids and proteins and make time to exercise, I know some people loose faster than others and it's frustrating to other who are losing at a slower pace.

I am always trying to be encouraging, I don't kick anyone when they are down, when they are really trying.

I was reffering to the people who don't try or don't give this surgery or any surgery everything they have, and then question why it isn't working

I think the reason you see this so often is because we all think we should see a steady loss on the scales every single day. When we dont, we freak out in a way. Thinking, I had this surgery for nothing.

I lost in stair steps (lose 5-6 lbs, next day gain 3-4 lbs, wait a week then lose 5-6 lbs) and it drove me crazy in the beginning. Once I realized how I was going to lose and knew I wasnt eating enough calories to gain, then I was fine.

I've been on this site for over 2 years and the subject comes up every single day. If it's not something you want to read then dont. Sometimes people just need to voice their fears/concerns.

Wow.  I have never responded to anything controversial before because it was never worth it.  In this case im making an exception because i think you are way out of line.  I think that maybe before you judge, you should have this surgery yourself, go through months or years on 600-800 calories per day while working your ass off at the gym and coming home to see the scale not budging,  you are being narrow minded.  You think that if everyone just follows the rules, they will lose the weight. Unfortunately it just doesn't work that way.  Hopefully the majority lose most of their weight, but it doesn't mean that throughout the process they didn't go through months of frustration as a result of stalls and still have the strength to keep it going without cheating.  And then someone like you comes on and not only discredits all the work they have been doing, but add salt to the wound.  Dont judge. You have no idea what it's like. Hope I didn't come off too strong, but what you wrote was incredibly hurtful.

I wasn't trying to be hurtful...
I wasn't refering to the people who are are trying, I know that people go through stall's and know that some people mess up from time to time and I wasn't refering to them.
I'm not perfect I am trying to loose before surgery, and my aunt died recently and I fell off the the diet wagon and hard! But I picked myself back up and jumped back on and felt more motivated to stick with it.
What I am refering to is the people who blatantly do everything they know they aren't suppose to do and then wonder why?

I think a lot of things but I don't say them. If you want to respond to an individual, that's one thing, but to call them out in a separate thread is kind of mean. You have a point, and my thoughts exactly, but why make a post about it? People know when they are off track and whether they want to admit it or not is a whole other issue.
