How I love my sleeve

In the old days would love to go out and get a nice italian hoagie sandwich with extra oil and vinegar. a bag of chips and a large soda. Today 6 months after surgery I made myself a 1/2 a sandwich thin with some turkey and swiss with just a dab of mayo and I'm  happy and stasified isn't it amazing . good luck everybody who is having surgery in the future its the best thing I've ever done wish I had did it years ago. So exciting!  Question, when were you able to start eating sandwichs?  is it with bread?  Thats the only thing I've been craving, a nice sandwich with crispy romaine!

Mom78 , I buy these theyare from arnold sandwich thins muligrain . I 'm about 6 months out and can only eat a half of one they are 100 cal. so half is 50 fill me up and comftable. good luck cathy

Amen to that! I never would have imagined I'd get full off half a sandwich but it's true. I still enjoy food but I am more mindful of what I consider sleeve-worthy.

Yes, I love my sleeve too!!!! Wish I had done this sooner.

I am so glad to hear that you are happy with your surgery.  i am scheduled for sleeve gastrectomy surgery on 5/14/2012.  A little nervous but so excited to change my life.
