I just though I would tell you that while I haven't had my surgery...I do take Vitamin D...it is actually a prescription strength...BUT is a tiny gel fluid pill that only has to be taken once a week...for those of you having issues with swallowing pills maybe that would help...it isn't expensive either...I think it was 20.00 for a 3 month supply...something to consider..it is smaller than a tic tac...hope that helps someone.

I take the vitamin, four of them a day chocolate flavor of course. It helps us northern people in the winter, helps our skin as well. Dr told me it is like a HAPPY pill as well for us that get the winter blues and generally wiped down feeling.

TFS.  I struggle with the big pills.  My vitamin D was super low pre op...16 I think.  I don't have labs again until June.
