Weight loss is about 80% diet, 20% exercise - roughly. You need to look at your diet. People often realllly over estimate the # calories they burn during exercise.

By working out, you are getting so many other benefits that you should try not to focus on the WL aspect - over time, your fitness will improve, you may increase your lean muscle mass, and ultimtely boost your overall metabolic rate, but that is a long process that takes commitment, dedication, and perseverance.

I am a work out addict (so ive been told) but my WL has been much less and much slower than other people, but I am definitely in much better shape than other people who drop weight without trying.

Perhaps you're developing muscles from working out? Muscles weigh more than fat.

It's actually hard to build muscle on a low cal diet and 1lb of fat weighs the same as 1lb of muscle. But compared side to side, 1lb of muscle takes up less space than 1lb of fat.

I would take measurements also.  Maybe you'll find that you've lost some inches even though the scale hasn't really moved.

I had the shift of fat to muscle. My scales didn't move for a month, but on my visit to the docs, his scales that analyse your whole body, not just weight said I lost 9% body fat in 1.5 months. Cloths fit better etc. so he said I am doing well and to keep it up. Weight will come off when the body stabalizes. So at least I converted fat to lean mass and that is a good thing as said above it takes up less space. good luck

4 pounds in a month? 4 pounds in a week?

4 pounds in a week is good.  I would take that anytime.  I've only lost 8 in the last 3 weeks and it seems really slow.

I can totally relate. I had a stall during my 2nd week and I just really struggled with it since in the first week I had lost significantly. The scale even went up one day. I had to relax and stop focusing on the scale and focus on healthy decisions which is not easy. I hope that next week brings the results you want to see. Sometimes going to a store and trying on something fun encourages me even if I don't buy it I can see what it looks like for free (since we are still loosing and shouldnt buy anyway)
